About this book
This book introduces the signs used in the Muṣḥaf which facilitate the recitation according to the rules of Tajwīd (rules of recitation). It aims at giving guidance to follow the signs and symbols included in the Muṣḥaf in order to facilitate the recitation of the Qurʾān.
The signs included here are based on the Muṣḥaf ʿUthmāni according the Riwāyah (narration) of Imām Ḥaffṣ as per his Imām ʿĀssim (رِوَايَة الإمام حَفص عن الإمام عاصم), as per the signs of the Mashāriqa (Đabt-ul-Mashāriqa ضَبطُ الـمَشَارِقَة).
The scope of this book is not to explain the rules of recitation (rules of Tajwīd), but rather aims at providing guidelines on how to follow these rules based on the signs given for each rule and how to pronounce the letters accordingly.
