Maqraa: Correcting Recitation with a Teacher
It was narrated that Zirr bin Hubaish said: "Abdullah bin Mas`ood said: We differed concerning a soorah of the Qur`an and said; (It is) thirty-five verses or thirty-six. We went to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and found ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) conversing with him. We said: We have differed concerning the recitation. The face of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) turned red and ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) is telling you to recite it as you were taught."
"سمِعْتُ رجُلًا يقرَأُ آيةً أقرَأنيها رسولُ اللهِ صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّم خلافَ ما قرَأ فأتَيْتُ النَّبيَّ صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّم وهو يُناجي عليًّا فذكَرْتُ له ذلكَ فأقبَل علينا علِيٌّ وقال : إنَّ رسولَ اللهِ صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّم يأمُرُكم أنْ تقرَؤوا كما عُلِّمْتُم"

Program Background:
قَرَأَ read- يَقْرَأُ reads- فهو: قَارِئ so he is: a reader
أَقْرَأَ taught recitation- يُقْرِئُ teaches recitation- فهو: مُقْرِئ so he is a teacher of recitation
This whole process is called: مَقْرَأَة Maqraa It is basically the live interaction between the student and the teacher and it is usually given was a name of the halaqh (circle/class) of the Quran recitation.
Approach:
- An interactive process of the student reading with a teacher and correcting one's recitation
- Recitation of a certain sura on monthly basis
Courses:
- HAFFS: Each month a new sura is assigned to be read and with a brief explanation of its main topics. Available for students of all levels.
- QIRAAT: Each three months we have a certain sura to be read in a certain Riwayah or Qiraa. For advanced level students.
Next Intakes:
Monthly. A Surah (or more) every month.
